· 7th, 8th, & 9th graders who make 1st cuts:
o -A 7th, 8th, & 9th grade final cut will be made and posted on the school’s Boys Basketball Athletics’ page by 3pm of the same day.
*While unlikely, the above tryout schedule is subject to change based on gym ability related to WPJH’s Girls Volleyball Postseason schedule.
Please be advised that 100+ students will most likely try out, of which approximately 20 students will make the team.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS:
• Candidates for the boys' basketball team must be available for tryouts and (if they make the team) Monday thru Friday from 3 pm - 5:15 pm (and some mornings) throughout the season.
• Students must hold a minimum term grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 in the preceding grading period. Students falling below the term 2.0 GPA will be ineligible to participate in the succeeding grading period. Mid-term progress reports do not apply [last year's 4th term grades will be used for 8th & 9th graders, *but this year's midterm grades will be used as indicator for 7th graders' eligibility].
o Students cannot fail more than one subject.
o Students receiving a ‘U’ will be subject to review by the School Standards Committee.
o Students receiving a ‘U’ from two or more individual teachers will be eliminated from extracurricular activities immediately and for the succeeding term.
• If a junior high athlete makes a high school team and then quits or is eliminated from the team by his/her coach, he/she will not be allowed to return to his/her junior high and participate in that sport." (DSD Jr. High Athletic Guidelines)
