About WPJH Counseling Center
West Point Junior High School has a fully staffed counseling center with four qualified counselors, school psychologist, Integrated Education Therapist (IET), two registrars, and Three Student Success Advocates. They are available to parents and students, as liaisons between students and teachers, and help them navigate academic, behavioral, and social and emotional issues.
Students participate each year in College and Career Readiness Plan meetings. The meetings for one grade is held with the student and the counselor, while two grades have individual meetings with their parent.
A number of programs are sponsored by the counseling center and administration, including Hope Squad (Student Involved Suicide Prevention), MTSS (Multitiered Systems of Support), National Junior Honor Society, Student Government, Clubs, and Many more.
