SAFE UT App.

Safe UT

We wanted to remind everyone to download SafeUT for this new school year.  SafeUT is a tool designed to provide confidential two-way communication with crisis counselors through the SafeUT Mobile App.

SafeUT services are provided through the University of Utah’s Crisis Center at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI) and all interactions are handled by licensed master’s level clinicians. Students who call or start a crisis chat through the mobile app will connect directly to a crisis counselor.

Students, parents, and educators can use the SafeUT phone app to send school and student safety tips. All tips are completely confidential.

SafeUT helps provide students with a safe and secure school environment and it provides our school administration with the communication and management tools needed to help and manage on-campus situations. The SafeUT Mobile App is available free in the Apple and Google Play stores.  Search and select “SafeUT”. Students will receive training on how to use the SafeUT app by their school administrators.

At any time if you, as a parent or community member, need to consult on a situation or need help in a personal experience or personal crisis, you may also download SafeUT to text or call a Crisis worker 24/7.  Please assist us in creating a culture of health and safety by promoting this tool in your home and community.
