WPJH Orchestra plays at DSD Board Mtg

The WPJH Orchestra has had an exciting and well-deserved season of recognition, highlighting the talent and dedication of both its students and director. On February 3, 2026, the orchestra was invited to perform at the Davis School District Board of Education meeting, where they were recognized for earning consistent superior ratings—a testament to their hard work, discipline, and musical excellence.

Continuing this momentum, the WPJH Orchestra was also selected to perform at the Utah Music Educators Association (UMEA) Annual Conference on February 7, 2026, held at the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah. This invitation is a significant honor, as only select ensembles from across the state are chosen to perform for music educators and professionals.

Adding to these accomplishments, WPJH Orchestra Director Miranda Horne was named the 2026 Utah American String Teachers Association (ASTA) Teacher of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes her outstanding leadership, dedication to music education, and lasting impact on students.

Congratulations to our talented orchestra students and to Ms. Horne for representing WPJH with excellence and pride. We are incredibly proud of our Warrior musicians!
