DAL game

A competition on academics. In DAL no basketballs are needed, instead each opponent has a buzzer in front of them and a series of trivial questions they must answer. At WPJH our school’s DAL team remains undefeated, winning their last game against Fairfield by 47 points.

The game is composed of four quarters, each one different. First, you’re in a hot seat that constantly rotates. Second, the team must work as a group to answer questions before the other team. Third, a presentation the competitors are given the topic for a week in advance. Fourth, free for all where any player can buzz in.

Co-captain of the DAL (Davis Academic League) team, Luke Williams, when asked what’s fun about the DAL team said, “I love so much about DAL! I’ve made so many good friends, and I love to learn and compete against other schools. It’s a place where I feel safe.” Need an after-school activity or want to be part of a team? Join DAL or come see the team play at their next home game on February 19th against North Davis Junior High.
